In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

I sincerely hope his son either has a desire to reform government for the people of North Korea, or that he is assassinated promptly by people who will do so. Another generation of Kim's in the mold of grandfather and father seems unthinkable.

ETA: Rot in hell, you sick, evil sonofabitch. I hope you're being tortured by sadistic demons at this very moment and throughout eternity.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

May God rest his miserable soul But his life was hell for his people and now I fear that he has left them to deal with a far worse leader than he ever was.

During the official period of mourning the N. Korean government "will allow no entertainment" . Unfortunately , jumping up and down and running in place to stay warm is considered "entertainment" in N. Korea .

Reports today state that tens of thousands lined the route of Kim's funeral procession . I assume it's because they wanted to be sure the son-of-a-bitch was really dead .
