I remember this from when I was a wee lad. It still has a profound effect. ::praying::

Gosh, that evokes some strong nostalgia. I was just thinking about the Charlie Brown Christmas today when I heard a rendition of "Christmastime is Here" on the radio. The version in this show, sung by children, was always my favorite. Something very real about the brushes on the snare drum, the piano, the upright bass....

Can you imagine a mainstream television special produced nowadays that openly quoted extensively from the Bible?

We've lost so much.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

We've lost our culture; that which made us US.
