He's been consistently for not ruling it out -

He says he doesn’t “like the idea” of layering a VAT onto the current income tax system. But he adds that, philosophically speaking, a VAT might work as a replacement for some part of the tax code, “particularly at the corporate level,” as Paul Ryan proposed several years ago. What he doesn’t do is rule a VAT out.

Exactly, on that score how is he any different than Obama?

How do you really know what you'll get once he's in?

I for one do not feel like gambling with my vote, and that is what you'll be doing if you throw in with Romney!

But he's not Obama, so quit bitchin', eh?!

I could argue RomneyCare is totalitarianish...and wanting to pile more taxes on us is decidedly progressive...not sure how that helps us or fails to hurt anyone...

Does a rape victim think getting raped by a criminal with a condom is any less a violation than being violated by one without?

There is a big difference between literally pulling the trigger
and figuratively pulling the trigger.  Literally there is no turn-
ing back, figuratively we (the American people) will still have
an opportunity to turn the ship around.

He's been bought  become as untrustworthy as
the other pollsters.

It is also interesting that of the three remaining conservatives
in the race the media/polling has focused on Santorum. Santorum
the most mainstream and obeisant to the GOP is the favored long
shot.

We got stank all over.
