We hear constant cries from the Left about how their policies are "for the children". But when the rubber hits the road, and the choice is between the radical leftist agenda or the well being of children, the children are sacrificed every. single. time. Kids are props for Leftists with an agenda, and nothing more.

And what is next... C'mon, you know it's coming. I've been calling this for years, ever since homosexuals began outwardly pushing for marriage. Government is now requiring that homosexual couples be "considered" for adoption and foster parenting. Next will be quotas. Affirmative action, demanding that homosexual couples are treated "equally", which to liberals, means "preferentially".

Bishops Say Rules on Gay Parents Limit Freedom of Religion

Roman Catholic bishops in Illinois have shuttered most of the Catholic Charities affiliates in the state rather than comply with a new requirement that says they must consider same-sex couples as potential foster-care and adoptive parents if they want to receive state money. The charities have served for more than 40 years as a major link in the state’s social service network for poor and neglected children.

The bishops have followed colleagues in Washington, D.C., and Massachusetts who had jettisoned their adoption services rather than comply with nondiscrimination laws.

For the nation’s Catholic bishops, the Illinois requirement is a prime example of what they see as an escalating campaign by the government to trample on their religious freedom while expanding the rights of gay people. The idea that religious Americans are the victims of government-backed persecution is now a frequent theme not just for Catholic bishops, but also for Republican presidential candidates and conservative evangelicals.

“In the name of tolerance, we’re not being tolerated,” said Bishop Thomas J. Paprocki of the Diocese of Springfield, Ill., a civil and canon lawyer who helped drive the church’s losing battle to retain its state contracts for foster care and adoption services...

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

- Thomas Jefferson

A perfect example of moronic liberal lawmaking.  Prior to the law, gays could not adopt from a Catholic agency and now after the law they still can't because they are closed.  Thus in reality, all the law accomplished was to place more burden on the remaining agencies, caused the loss of jobs of those working in the Catholic ones and hurt the children.  But hey, they showed everyone just how willing they are to kiss the a--es of the gay lobby, no matter who gets hurt.

It's a win-win for the leftitsts...kick the religious types out of the caring racket, more control over kiddies and it advances their queer agenda.

More to come...

This is an example of exactly why we the people need to clean house of all the career politicians in Congress. These parasites trade votes on everything, or the lawyer in them creates a 1000 page bill that sneaks in a rider about gay something. These congress critters are America's biggest enemy. Besides, Congress was never meant to be a career, it was meant to serve in for a time, then go back to your civilian life.

We may still have enough time to rid DC of the lifers in 2012, if we the people, the former silent  majority gets off our butts and vote these thieves out. They have no compunction about setting themselves up with ostentatious lifestyles, exempt themselves from following the laws that we the people MUST, or face punishment at the hands of the very state they lead.

In short, these are very BAD people. They do not deserve the positions they hold. They have betrayed our trust. They have lied to us. They have stolen our money. They have stolen our rights. They have been making fools of us for a long time. They care only about their next election. THEY ARE MOSTLY LAWYERS. Any questions?
