Milwaukee teachers drop Viagra suit
« on: March 09, 2011, 05:54:01 PM »
The Milwaukee teachers union has dropped a lawsuit seeking to get its taxpayer-funded Viagra back.

The union sued in July 2010 to force the school board to again include the erectile dysfunction drug and similar pills in its health insurance plans.

The union has argued the board's policy of excluding such drugs from the plans discriminates against male employees; the board has countered the 2005 move was meant to save money.

I guess they figured that demanding taxpayers keep their dicks hard was bad optics at this particular point in time.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

I'd say so.

On one hand, we have the women demanding covered birth control, on the other we have men demanding hard-ons in pill form.  This does not compute.

It would seem that as long as they can't get it up they don't need birth control either and that should be dropped and save the taxpayers even more money. ::thinking::

The birth control is probably due to all these female teachers getting knocked up by their 14 year old wards.

And where were these teachers when I was in junior high school anyway?!  ::pimp::

You were too smart for yer own good then, it seems, but not smart enough to know to keep it in yer pants unless you want child-support payments.  Teen-age boys, oy!
