I really have a strong dislike for this guy.

http://xfinity.comcast.net/articles/news-politics/20120103/US.Obama/

defiant President Barack Obama, tired of Senate Republicans stalling his nominee to lead a new consumer protection agency, put him in charge Wednesday over their opposition.

"I refuse to take `no' for an answer," the president said.

Outraged GOP leaders in Congress immediately suggested that courts would determine whether Richard Cordray's appointment was illegal.

With a director in place, Obama said the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau can start overseeing the mortgage companies, payday lenders, debt collectors and other financial operations often blamed for practices that helped undermine the economy.

Obama announced the move with Cordray by his side before a cheering crowd in Ohio, a politically vital state where Cordray once was attorney general.

I'm not always engulfed in scandals, but when I am, I make sure I blame others.

This malevolent would-be dictator must be stopped.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Until Cordray took over, the office didn't have all the tools needed "to protect consumers against dishonest mortgage brokers or payday lenders, and debt collectors who are taking advantage of consumers," Obama said. "And that's inexcusable. It's wrong."

Another tool in Obama's kit.

Couple more links -

First, The Regime violated its own interpretation of what constitutes a recess period -

Second, CoC considering a lawsuit to challenge these illegal appointments -

Pretty poor state of affairs when ones constitution may only be protected by an outside entity, not by the Congress that just got buttf**ked by Emperor Obama!

Wake me up if the revolution ever wakes the hell up!

Why We Lose

Tonight at the "roundtable" Krauthammer addressing this issues started
his first sentence saying he is "lawless"  he finished by saying "he [Obama]
won the argument".  No, Charles, if you start the sentence with lawless you
end the sentence with prosecute him.

This timid hesitancy expressed by him is systemic within the ranks of our
leadership who call themselves conservative.  They got the stank.

Yeah, I am so sick of hearing anything that sounds like "What gives Obama the right...", "How can this happen...", "Who is responsible...", "What can be done..." yadda yadda yadda!!!

People are completely unable, unwilling and uninterested in standing up to the usurpation's bashing us in the face 24/7/365 by this Regime and they dare ask stupid questions and make lame statements like CK just did?

They are part of the problem!

Golly, one might conclude we are completly screwed!!!

Barack Obama used his recess powers to appoint a head for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and three new radical members of the NLRB today despite the fact that the senate was in session yesterday.

He "refuses to take no for an answer".

The new "Consumer Financial Protection Bureau" has not only been legislated beyond judicial review -- making it off-limits to the courts -- but gets its budget from the Federal Reserve, thus, beyond House control as well.

Oh, yeah; McConnell made a "statement".

This guy is all-in on the totalitarian dictatorship. He's literally daring opposition to call it what it is, and seek to remove him from office. He knows they won't. SO he presses forward.

Now which candidate is going to man up and take on this boy, with regards to this unconstitutional power grab?

Which candidate is going to man up, and take on this boy, with regards to Obama finding his inner Hugo?

They've both been relegated to the sidelines.

This is why this civilization is at an impasse. Checks and balances, separation of powers -- two of the fundamental cornerstones our Founders consciously integrated into our Constitution. But what happens when an entire branch of government fails to exercise its own authority? We have all these safeguards on paper, but they're not being applied.

There is now a chasm between de jure and de facto and it is going to end up playing no small part in the Troubles ahead. One of the best lines in Steyn's latest book is "You set a very dangerous precedent when you communicate daily that the citizen has no democratic means by which to constrain his government."

Ours is an especially frustrating situation, because on paper we have plenty of those "means", but for innumerable reasons they have been rendered increasingly impotent.
"The Fourth Estate is less honorable than the First Profession."

Someone said that the senate isn't really in session, that it is just a 'ruse' to keep recess appointments from occuring.

Question:
Are they really in session? Or, just pretending to be in session?

I don't know, that is why I'm asking......

Waiting for the opposition to grow a set and fight tyranny by any means necessary appears futile and only illustrates the stupidity of the person who thinks these uselss idiots are capable of bold acts in the defense of liberty.

Rats!  Sorry, Charles; I brain-farted.

I'll merge the two threads.
