Kind of surprised they even sell Barbies there...but it sure wouldn't surprise me if they start selling Burka-wearing Barbies here.

heh...

Quote
Iran’s morality police told stores to remove the dolls in favor of government approved ones that are traditionally dressed in garments like burkas and long overcoats. This, officials said, would protect citizens from the evils of Western influence. Kids, however, reportedly don’t want the dolls because they’re “ugly.”

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Are they also realistically mutilated?  Got to let those little Islamic girls know whats coming!  Maybe a Ken, er Muhammad doll that can beat and rape her would be educational as well.  Must do it right!

Really, why even bother?!

Yeah, really why bother. Isn't playing with toys against scuzlam or something? Anything that would put a smile on the face aside from shooting AK 47's into the air is strictly forbidden by allah.

Yeah, that and doing that gurgling yodel sound they make and banging shoes on stuff...I thought that was the limits of their fun...
