Again, Conservatives Were Right

On and on it goes.

Republicans in Congress cut deals with Democrats. The Republicans’ favorite reporters and pundits tell us just how awesome those deals are. Then those deals blow up in our faces.

More tragically, then the same Republican leaders who negotiated those deals go back and negotiate the next deals and the same reporters and pundits at the same publications who told the last ones were so awesome tell us these are so awesome and then these deals too blow up in our faces. Conservatives always raise the alarm. The Republicans always run to the usual suspects to spin their way out of the mess.

On Facebook yesterday, Senator Jim DeMint noted this folly. Republicans were supposed to have big wins on the debt ceiling and on the Keystone XL Pipeline. They told us they had played the Democrats. Instead, we played ourselves.

From Senator DeMint:

[blockquote]    The two political victories leading Republicans planned on celebrating today only showcase how much we have to lose by compromising with the Democrats.

The non-binding vote of disapproval on the debt ceiling increase held in the House today and the Obama Administration’s decision not to authorize the Keystone Pipeline were supposed to be excruciating political exercises for the Democrats. They turned out to be a walk in the park.

Instead of generating a great public uproar over the debt, economy, and jobs, all President Obama had to do was reiterate his long-held positions—that the debt ceiling should be increased and the Keystone Pipeline should not be authorized.

Giving the President exactly what he wants and then asking him to remind the public that he wanted it after the fact isn’t a strategy to win. It’s a strategy to cover-up a stunning loss under the guise of a compromise. [/blockquote]

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

GOP

Got Out Played

SSDD

Anybody thinking this party is worth salvaging is only fooling themselves.

Like Reagan said when he left the democrat party, he "didn't leave the party, the party left me"!

Ditto!
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.

The GOP is not merely inept and always somehow managing to get in its own way, it's worse than that. It -- the leadership anyway -- is actively working to derail conservatism. They have no problem whatsoever with big, intrusive government. They simply want to be the ones in the driver's seat of it. They want the committee chairmanships.  They disgust me, and thoroughly.

At least the Democrats are unashamed in their pursuit of an ideology. They never apologize for what they are, and they never stop. The GOP on the other hand are able to perform the seemingly miraculous feat of taking criticism as if they were some right wing caricatures, while actually accomplishing nothing for it. The GOP is all risk and no reward.

The two faces of evil.  If one pays attention the Democrats will tell you who
they are.  The Republican leadership flies under the banner of the battered
conservative all the while reveling in the achievement of failure.

You nailed it!

And as far is this goes - "They disgust me, and thoroughly." It applies to everyone actively or passively destroying conservative ideals given to us by our Founders and God!

I have had it with them, I will not support any one of them, EVER!  And it is only THEY who are to blame for what follows!  My conscience is pure!!!

Are you ready to make rebellion against the out of control government?

Everyone continues to fly the " wait until the next election cycle" bullsh*t. Well, we've done that, won a staggering victory all across the country in state housesexcept for the national one, it's a hollow one where the elected are worse than spineless, they are deceivers. They said they were one of us. They claimed they would fight for us all the while making plans to take control of their little committees where they could appear as giving the old college try.

What now? All of us want to do something but fear the guy looking over our shoulder is a government agent which would just leave our respected families to fend for themselves while we're in prison. The cause is lost, the experiment in self government is gone and we're left with the horrible superstate structure waiting for the lever to be thrown.

May God bless all of you and your families and keep you from harm. Amen.
Remember, four boxes keep us free:
The soap box, the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box.

There is a course and it must be run.  We have an election
coming soon and the outcome will bring much clarity.
