AZ Gov Jan Brewer & Obama have heated argument on the tarmac
« on: January 25, 2012, 07:36:30 PM »
This is suh-weet!

Quote
Obama Has Heated Argument With AZ Gov Jan Brewer

The argument, according to a White House press pool report, was over the way Brewer had portrayed him in a book the Arizona Governor wrote last year.

"She handed him a handwritten letter in an envelope and they spoke intensely for a few minutes. At one point, she pointed her finger at him," the pooler wrote.

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

What is the brewer book which ticked off the chosen one...... Or better yet, can we find the excerpt.

Somehow it doesn't appear that he's lecturing her about the book.
Governor Brewer, it said, handed him a letter and she's putting a
finer point on it.  Judging from the hitch in his departing gate, the
point found its mark.

"He was a little disturbed about my book, Scorpions for Breakfast. I said to him that I have all the respect in the world for the office of the president. The book is what the book is. I asked him if he read the book. He said he read the excerpt. So."

"It was clear from the moment they greeted one another that this would not be a run-of-the-mill encounter between the president and a local official. At one point, she was pointing her finger at him and at another, they were talking at the same time, seemingly over each other."

"He appeared to walk away from her while they were still talking, and she confirmed that by saying she didn't finish her sentence."

Classless punk walked away, that's how you know you just won an argument, when the other party has no option left but retreat.

This, at least, is the official media story:

Quote
Brewer also handed Obama an envelope with a handwritten invitation for Obama to return to Arizona to meet her for lunch and to join her for a visit to the border.

He'll never accept of course, last thing he wants is another opportunity for Brewer to upstage this clown!

Clown...

Hmmm....

If he did go I could envision that clown dancing back and forth over the border, giggling like a little girl and saying "I'm in!  Now I'm out!  I'm in!  Now I'm out!"

Gaah!!!

For what it's worth...

This morning, Glenn Beck in telling the tale of the confrontation on the tarmac, described Air Force One as Obama's "flying penis."
In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

The contents of the handwritten letter revealed (scan of letter @ theblaze.com)...

    Dear Mr. President,

    [blockquote]Welcome to Arizona!

You‘ve arrived in a state at the forefront of America’s recovery — and her future. We were at the brink. We were at the bottom of the list in job creation. Today, we have a balanced budget and we’re in the top 10 for job creation.

I’m proud of that hard-won recovery — the result of many tough decisions, courage and perseverance.

My hope is while you are here you will have a chance to see our tremendous results first hand.

We both love the great country, but we fundamentally disagree on how to best make America grow and prosper once again. I‘d love an opportunity to share with you how we’ve been able to turn Arizona around with hard choices that turned out to be the right ones.

And, of course, my offer to visit the border — and buy lunch — still stands!

    With respect,
    Jan[/blockquote]

I'd bet my last dollar that this is the kind of sentiment that sent him into his little tyrant temper tantrum!

Last thing he wants to be told is what a fustercluck of a failure his socialists policies are and that people doing the exact opposite of him can still produce positive economic and job growth, despite his massive incompetence!

She has more self control than I.......any letter I write would never give him the benefit of the doubt he loves this great country.

...any letter I write would never give him the benefit of the doubt he loves this great country.

I think the fact that she was compelled to include an affirmation of the president's love for the country at all tells a story in itself. If it was assumed that the president loves the country, it would not occur to affirm it. I think including it says exactly the opposite of what the words say.
