Thought some might enjoy ( well, maybe not enjoy).

Yeah, "enjoy" isn't the word that jumps to mind! I like this guy's stuff. I've seen two or three other pieces that contained similar messages.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Thanks for posting this, Don.

It created a lump in my throat, tears in my eyes and an ache in my heart.

The link I provided was sent to me via E mail.....And I thought the work fascinating. Now, thanks to lady Virginia posting his other works, I'll add moving and motivational to my description.

We are in dire times....We all know it. This helps me hold on to the sliver of faith in regards to our great country. I will own some of this man work.

It made The Drudge Report after it got posted to Rachel Maddow's blog in a caption contest. The link from Drudge takes you to this report from Vegas. Lots of traffic on their comments, mostly in one direction. I won't link to Mr. Maddow's blog because the comments are pretty stupid and ignorant.

I find the painting interesting on several fronts. You will notice that GWB is standing directly behind Obongo...clearly on the wrong side of the Constitution. I assume that is because of his support of the Patriot Act. Also of interest is Obongo's pose...arms folded, implying a closed mind...GWB's arms are folded, too...no one else's.
In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.
