Who are the real criminals?
« on: March 12, 2011, 09:25:38 AM »
This is the roster for the police union that is threatening buisiness people in Wisconsin. pay particular attention to the last sentence in the James Palmer bio on second thought here is the quote.
" . Mr. Palmer is also the only police association representative on the Traffic Stop Data Collection Advisory Committee, a group convened by the Wisconsin Office of Justice Assistance to assist in implementing new statutory requirements related to the statewide collection of data on the race of individuals in vehicles involved in traffic stops. "  ....  Source.... http://www.wppa.com/contact/bios.htm
The general feeling I got reading the site was that it was all about what they get for themselves and nothing to help their members continue to train in a proffesional manner.
"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of "liberalism," they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened. " Norman Martoon Thomas 1944 -6 time pres. candidate (socialist)

These people are all employed by the WPPA and paid by dues money?  Nice work .... if you can get it.

The only reason I can think of to collect data on the race of people involved in traffic violations is to implement a regime of race-preferences and quotas for traffic stops, and reverse-racial profiling.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

- Thomas Jefferson

Cops get loaded with to much bs.  They are the floor of this nation of laws.  They should not be tax collectors or social data collectors.  Cops should do two things, protect the innocent and catch bad guys.  They should be given more professional training in these areas.  Stress release programs should also be part of their employment package and they should be off limits to bureaucrats, politicians, and unions.
