Ask India how they like the level of quality control and progress on their carrier project!   ::hysterical::

Poor Rooskies!  They'll have to sell more oil, vodka and maybe hookers.   ::)

Oh, I thought you said submarine.

Jan. 23, 2012

NEW DELHI — Indian navy personnel will take command of the country's first nuclear-powered submarine in two decades on Monday

During trials in the Sea of Japan in November 2008, 20 sailors were killed when a fire extinguisher released a deadly chemical that had been accidentally loaded into the system.

The submarine was due to be handed over to India in 2009 but has been hit by various problems during testing.

November 28,[2010] [the] submarine from Russia, will not meet its year-end schedule of delivery to the Indian Navy.

Sources said the Navy, as of now, has refused to accept the submarine from its Russian counterparts citing inadequate training for its teams to operate the vessel.

Russia supplies 70 percent of India's military hardware, but New Delhi has been unhappy about delays to arms orders from Moscow and has looked to other suppliers, including Israel and the U.S., in recent years. [/blockquote]

We ought to sell them some F22's in order for them to remain in production.

Yeah, they play hardball and know what to expect, and
they're getting it.  I think the US has shunned them (sales)
in the past because of wakiPaki.  Sounds like State think.

It'd just be a good idea to keep production of the 22s going
and them and Israel are about the only two who could be
trusted.

I think a moment to approach India could appear with a new POTUS, granting we have a nation and time to do anything that is.  I think you are right on State think, but I think the political REMF's at the Pentagon & Langley are willing accomplices...we made our bed with the Pak's to help with the WOT, that that isn't panning out quite as wonderful as they had hoped could be labelled unsurprising, but it is what it is.  I think the whole AQ Kahn thing and Pak & nukes being too close to crazy Muzzie effers gave the PTB's back here the willies.  After AQ Kahn we should have struck while cozied up to them, seized all their nuclear materials, blown up their infrastructure and run the hell out and cut a deal with India who would have been a much more reliable partner in the WOT!  So in the end, we chose the wrong bunkmate!  Bad on us.
