After reading again, Rush is using weasel words that leave him an opening on Monday to go full out.

Or maybe I'm just hoping too much that we don't lose a national treasure.  ::praying::

Losing Breitbart in one week is already one too many.

I heard Rush call Obama a "jackass" twice yesterday. Have there been any calls for civility or censorship?
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Too much accuracy in the statement.

Carbonite CEO admits dropping Limbaugh hurt growth more than expected

Quote
CEO Friend: “Yeah, I’d say it turned out to be a bigger issue than we had anticipated.  Because you know at the time there was a lot of noise, I mean we had a huge spike in web traffic around that time just because of all the interest in the whole subject. And it took close to a month for that to sort of die down.  And meanwhile our metrics were, we really couldn’t see what was going because there was so much noise around the website that we had no idea what the ultimate impact was going to be.  It turned out to be a bigger hole in our revenue than we had thought when we initially did this.  However, I don’t think there was any, I’m not regretful of the decision, I think things would have been worse had we not done that.

He "thinks" that, does he?   ::rolllaughing::

Are they publicly traded? I'd be looking for a new CEO if I was a stockholder.

Is carbonlite one of the advertisers rush refused to take back?

Yeah, I think so. There were several. I think Legal Zoom and Sherrie's Berries were also told that they would not be allowed to advertise again. Maybe ProFlowers, too. Plus there were some local market advertisers...a mattress maker in California was one, I think.

Hard cheese for them.

Betting against Rush Limbaugh is pretty much a loser's wager.

Meanwhile, there are several new clients who will be reaping the benefit of advertising on America's number one talk program. Angie's List is the most prominent one that I can think of off the top of my head.

I am a big fan of Angie's List, btw. I use it to hire contractors to work on my mother's house down in Texas. I select the best one from the list and then when I call them I tell them that I used Angie's List to find them. That's usually all it takes to get absolutely superior service because they are pretty certain that they will be reviewed (good or bad) when the job is done.
In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

Yeah, ProFlowers and Sherrie's Berries are the same outfit.  Good riddance to all those losers.  ProFlowers is a massive ripoff anyway. By the time handling and convenience fees are tacked on, your $19.99 special offer is more like $50-60.

I just signed up for Angie's List.   ::thumbsup::

And if I needed any more reasons to like my new CX-5?  Morries (car dealer I bought my Mazda from) was running ads during that timeslot.  Pleasant surprise as I rarely listen live.
