Mitt -  MA (a given), VT (another given) & VA (only had to run against Paul)

Too close to call yet -

OH - Rick leading

Newt is on FOxNews right now, casting himself as the only outsider who can defeat Obama's Big Machine.

Obama gives Romney kiss of death, wishes him luck -

(Way to tip your hand, Barry.  But the E-GOP feels the same way too though, so...)

Look ahead - Palin considers 2016 -

Rick is on FoxNews now.

"A couple gold medals and a whole passel of silver medals".

He looks upbeat and if he continues to do well he will stick around.

Newt is kind of on the mark now, if he cannot build beyond GA, he could be in trouble.  Would he throw support behind Rick when the time comes or reward beneficence from Willard?

Mitt's got 200+ and that's the best.  Two hundred of,

Yeah, well, Romney is still gonna end up being the nominee. I have accepted and come to terms with this sad situation.

Santorum had his opening and was not able to capitalize on it. Gingrich is bent on being an irritant to Romney but can not admit that the quickest way to accomplish that goal would be to bow out and let his voters go to Santorum.

I believe that Santorum would have a legitimate shot at the nomination if it were just him and Romney but the other two not-Romney candidates split up that vote.

So Romney is going to win. It's not if but when.
In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

I hate to see it, but I can honestly say that I've come to a point where a Santorum win in Ohio would have been no better in my mind. These guys are all as inadequate as each other, carrying with them different history and different non-conservative baggage that makes them unacceptable for full support. I think all of them risk losing to Obama, again, for different reasons. Romney could lose the South. Santorum could lose all the important swing states. Gingrich could lose on his negatives alone. Paul would be crushed.

So we go to war with the army we have. Unfortunately, we go against Xerxes without Leonidas. Instead, we have Thurston Howell III.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Agreed, they got the stank.  I'm rooting for an open convention.
We may get ultra stank but we also have the opportunity to
get a true conservative, Or at least fight them for it.  A simple
cage fight that exposes all the worm vermin of the party.

Even though all of our candidates have some form of stink associated with them, we need to remember that obama has even more.  The hardcore lefties and most african-americans will still vote for duh one, a lot of the independents and some of the moderate liberals should be as disgusted with the POSotUS as we are and I have been hearing a lot of "anyone but obama" from multiple sources.  The GOP needs to start advertising the current admins failures now to get the people angry with what is going on and perhaps sway them to vote conservative.

Except we need them real angry election day. It's a long time till then
and Omaster shouldn't be allowed time to woo the undecided back into the fold.

I saw an interesating statistic:

At this point in 1980, Carter was beating Reagan 62% to 38%.

So much for polls and pundits.

How in the world will people get enthused about voting FOR Romney?  A large segment of conservatives (those really right-wing bitter-clingers) can't stand him.  More importantly to the moronic E-GOP & MFM mantra, how will indpendents/undecided see a difference between Big Govt Willard & Big Govt Barry?  Will they buy Mitt's spin that RomneyCare is not ObamaCare?

The GOP is latching onto the weakest link of the three IMO, and to me that looks like a planned suicide.  Perhaps it is time for the GOP to meet its demise.

I go to my Senate District convention later this month, I'll still hold firm for Rick, those wanting me to fold my hand for the sake of over-hyped "party unity" are going to get an earful!

Yeah, I intend to upset the after voting in my precinct also.

Regardless who our candidate is, arousing the vote against
the Øpposition is an ever important motivator.

ETA: the Øpposition lost 47% of the vote in OK.
