Up about 20 cents around these parts in last few weeks.

I don't know what's going up faster...gas prices or the temp...it's a real horse race...

I'll be fishing from a boat soon, and we're still in early March!

Back up to over $20 to fill up my car, at $1.809 for Costco gas.  $2.099 at the cartel.

Yea.....if you watch the barrel cost of oil, in relation to the cost of gas today, you can tell it's spring.

Thursday coming home from work gas went from $1.41 a gallon to $1.51 at Raceway - Friday morning going to work - same station was up to $1.59.  All other stations had the same amount of increase - $.18 cents in one day ---- was still same last night.  Tell me there is no collusion.

Your still coming out better than most of us Rusty...

I expect they'll be another dip, followed by the blend switchover and Memorial Day runup...

Don't know about that now - $.18 cents in two days - Lowest here is now $1.59 - up to $1.75 as of yesterday.  Almost don't want to see this morning on the way to work ....

It's a buck ninety five in my neck of the woods.  I did, however, secure a $1 discount on my 35 gallon fill up.

We are trying to catch up -- another $.10 cents yesterday - a $.28 cents raise total so far.  $1.69 and rising at the cheap station -- must be they see a shortage for the summer and are planning ahead ... I know greed wouldn't have anything to do about it.

Hey, Rusty, do you remember $0.19 gas at the Oak stations in the north suburbs in the mid-1960's?

Sure do - south bound Woodward just north of 11 Mile, also across the road was a Sinclair, that my dad looked at to buy - glad he didn't because it went out of business a couple years later.

It's good having you two here...makes me feel young, I only recall $0.25 gas with any clarity.   :D

And just like that the cartel has jacked the gouge mark back up to $1.999.  They've been running a solid 30 to 40 cents higher than Costco/Sams.  The highest sustained spread, absolute or especially percentage, I've ever seen.

Yet in my 27 years, here, I've never seen the government be the least interested in the open, obvious price fixing that is the Twin Cities gas market.

Hard to believe that anyone has prices higher than mine! Gas here jumped a dime (to $179.9) in the last 10 days.

I have a van that was my dads. I use it to haul band equipment. It is equipped with 2 30-gal tanks (460cu is a hungry beast!). I usually run the whole season (of our bluegrass show) and then fill the tanks for the next season. Looks like I need to top them off now rather than later.

Got the van fueled @ 1.89   ;'}

Stopped to fill my Durango this morning - 2.09

Back to $40 to fill the tank.

There are a number of ways I can foresee where I get an exemption, some better than others, but time will tell.

If it is with my boots on surrounded by piles of brass I'll consider myself fortunate.
