Yeah...but your Marxist filth likes to highjack language as a means of bludgeoning enemies and spinning MarxistMedia talking points to disseminate and amplify their lies...

Oil companies margins on a gallon produced have always been low, like 3-4%...but they start with the most volume...so hence they get to be labelled "greedy" and raking in something called "windfall profits"...which all things being equal in production (costs) margins are proportional to that...duh...

And the retailers being closer to the end user...get to be labelled "gougers"...but they are limited in what they can do legislatively to prevent going too out of line with competing retailers...and are perversely much more hampered on the down side...so the bigger retailers don't crush smaller chains and independents with discounts...and correct me if I am wrong...but I thought going up they can price to LIFO on deliveries...which is why prices at the pump rise faster than they fall...

Pretty much every ill visited upon energy in this (and most) nation(s) is driven entirely by government taxation and regulation...

(Holding up my "change my mind" sign)

From what I read the last time gas prices spiked, the oil companies/gas stations make less per gallon than the state and Fed taxes on it.

Oh, yeah!

Using this data...

https://www.eia.gov/tools/faqs/faq.php?id=10&t=5

https://www.eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

Fed % about 3.78%/gal & avg of states about 6.37%...Fed probably gets what oil co's net margin is!  Greedy windfall bastards, right?!  Retail fighting for a paltry 1 point something percent...diesel is worse...

First, the warnings...then, the occupation government not giving a damn...followed by shutdowns...followed by occupation government anger at refiners and demands to have it all fixed by tomorrow...followed by a big fat dose of reality the occupation government ignores, the low-info voters following the occupation government propaganda riot and loot...and the occupation government blames racists, Russians and Trump...

And, no...you insufferable commie despots...it will not drive the sane to green lies!  You and your illegitimate ilk are destroying electrical production in this nation at a time when you shut down domestic oil and gas...sold precious reserves to idiots (Euro's) and enemies (China & Russia) and our purposely aged and overstressed grids and remaining plants cannot handle any more demand...and you effing know it you little sh*t!

All your ilk wants is destruction, pain and misery...you sick sons of bitches see it as the golden ticket to unlimited power for perpetuity...when in fact it ensures everything is destroyed...even you instigating sons of bitches!

What if the US promises LNG to EU.
Then a later admin decides not to export US LNG?

The only reason oil is in the $80's is because they've been flooding the market with reserve oil.  WTF does he think will happen when that goes into reverse?

That, and reduced demand...either from crippled logistics and economic destruction as a result of their intentional mismanagement...and altered reality (more people telecommuting...cutting back on travel) etc.

Yes, I see this as a planned scheme to sell to baksheesh pals and pass the loss onto the taxpayer on refilling with higher foreign supplied.

It is all intentional insanity.

The shat is about to hit the fan, again...

After treasonously destroying domestic oil & gad production and exploration...after chaining America's neck to its enemies, after destroying NS pipeline and shipping our natural gas we need this winter to a bunch of useless deadbeat EuroSocialist trash...

...after purposely squandering the SPR and selling low to foreign business pals hostile to America...

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FeU3b1cVsAA-EE_?format=jpg&name=small

...after begging OPEC for more production and being told to eff off...

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/opecs-action-testimony-staggering-us-geopolitical-and-geoeconomic-error

...now, he is trying to make TheBigGuy deals with comrade Maduro...

...and throwing Juan Guaidó under the bus...

Hey?  Whatever happened to crossing the IC side of the DeepState?   ::popcorn::

As for giving europeasants our gas...

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/why-us-will-not-ban-lng-exports

...uhh, what?  They stave off BITS there only to see BITS here?   ::bus::

Hopefully, The Swamp is BITS ground zero...if it comes to pass...frankly...caring what happens to despots is going to be a local affair for most folks...

FJB and all associated with him!

I'd love to be in the room with MBS and Maduro. Maybe throw in Putin.

They could compare stories about Biden grovelling for oil.

Every time Biden personally insults some world leader I cringe. MBS. Putin. I imagine he insulted Maduro as well.

Even during the Cuban missile crisis leaders talked civilly. They also kept talking.

We are witnessing the greatest most heinous "See, I told you so!" moment ever...we warned people the insane suicidal destruction the election-stealers would do, their desperation was obvious, they totalitarian actions predictable...their continuing path of destruction will not end until this nation and the entire world is engulfed in fire, misery and death...

What I've noticed is diesel soaring, again.  Back over $5 in Iowa.  All in the past week.
