Blame Ted Nugent, it escaped, crossed Nugen's backyard and became another trophy. Can't find a replacement. ::laughonfloor::

The fact that gas prices went down drastically prior to election day and are now zooming back up would indicate ( during any ordinary year ) something afoul in the scheme of things . Of course , jamming a square peg into an oval office (twice) goes against the scheme of things too .

Stop & Shop (regional grocery chain) offers $.05 / gal off for card members + an additional $.10 / gal per $100 spent. W/ a fam of 6 to feed, the savings on gas is substantial. Easily offsets (I think) teh inflation of the groceries themselves.
Cutting coupons makes it go even further.

I jusr clocked CVS the had a buiy 30 bucks worth of on sale paper towels and get a 10 dollar gift card so I bought 4,18 mega roll paper towels for 30 bucks and I did it twice.

So I end up with 96 rolls of paper towels for 60 bucks.

Costco moved to $3.179 over the weekend.  Look for a local cartel gouge to at least $3.399 this week if not $3.499.

It's only January!
