I hope so, paying close to $4 for premium sucks, not as bad as poor Ben in CA, but still.

I'll hit CostCo tomorrow afternoon and see.

ETA - Premium was at $3.82.

The government watchdog group Judicial Watch is suing the Treasury Department for records pertaining to the department’s decision to grant a Chinese government-backed company access to oil deposits in the Gulf of Mexico, a move that will benefit Obama donors. -

He's giving our oil to the Chinese.  Well, that sword cuts us on both sides.  He only helps those without the taint of western colonialism.  That's his bottom line.

Short of being caught on video tape murdering someone (and even then I have my doubts) nothing a libiot asshat does has legal consequences, or political (obviously).

Why?  Because, per Bob Schieffer, we're in the 45th month of recovery.

If Owebama can get rid of that pesky 22nd Amendment, then he'll have a shot a keeping this country in a recession/depression longer than FDR.  And you know Barry wants that title.

Oil been coming down a bit, I think the Cyprus thing is sucking attention away and there is no new oil supply threat on the radar now, of course since a lot of oil is in 7th century barbarian hands that won't last long, and as Rick notes, we have the O'Bongo to screw up a good thing, so enjoy the dip.

Thanks for the headsup.  Courtesy of Northern Tool and garage sales I've been hedging for the past three years.
It's actually not a lot of money but it's paid for the cans, many double cheeseburgers and, of course, priceless pleasure.

I'd love to pay less than $4.00/gal for super.  OMG what did I just type.  20 years ago I never thhought gas would ever cost more than $2.00/gal.

I know.  Just imagine we could have under $2 if we had a sensible energy policy in this nation that wasn't contrived by cronies, beholden to environmentalist job-killing whackos and where the people were not such naive useless sheep!

Don't look now, but just like that, the cartel is leading local prices back up near $4.  $3.899 at all SuperFraudScamocoScamiday stations

$3.699 at Costco, now.

And isn't it a hoot how laws are on the books to limit the minimum to be charged?  Easier to game the relatively tamed consumer with gubmint helping set the floor!   ::gaah::   ::rockets::

And just like that, $4.199 (at the Cartel), now, the highest I've ever seen here.  Filled up for $3.759 at Costco in the morning, a full 45c cheaper than the price fixing mark.

That membership pays for itself easier and easier.

They say it is because two refineries in the Chytcago region are "down for maintenance"...They are not saying why this is needed or even why both have to be down at the same time.

Now, I can ascribe all manner of theories and such but lets just cut to the chase here...They are lying to us...not about the shutdowns, but the reasons behind them...we all know (or should know) our refineries are aging and we have not built any new ones for, what, 40 years?  I suspect there are breakdowns occuring more and more often, and that since the libiots in general and Obama Regime in particular hate oil with a passion that the news of more and more breakdowns in our aging refineries is being deliberately downplayed in order to keep public pressure from pushing Congress to fund new refinery capacity.

And our weak pant-pissing Pubbies are too stupid to proactively fight for us...so...get used to higher prices!  (I am hearing through Memorial Day, possibly Independence Day...nice how They know all that, but nothing else...eh?!)

That graph, from a guy that's in the business of delivering wholesale gas (I used to converse with him at the gas price website I was banned from, for irritating a hippy  ::evil:: ) is predicting an SA led gouge to $4.299 today.

He's usually right.

From what I saw posted at local cartels I'd say that was a safe prognostication.

I paid $4.15 at CostCo for premium, it went up $0.18 from when I checked online before I left the office to the station 45 minutes later.

If premium is that high at CostCo, the cartels are have to be charging around $4.40.

ETA - According to http://www.twincitiesgasprices.com/ in Da Hood, cartels got premium for $4.49 as a median price!   ::mooning::
