Coast Guard - Helo crash in Mobile Bay
« on: February 29, 2012, 11:21:55 AM »
1 dead, 3 missing.  The article says water temps near 60, but heard it was actually 50.  If the other 3 were hurt/unconscious when they hit the water...

CG-6535-tributeFinding the remains of three of the four crew of a Coast Guard Dolphin (MH-65C) Helicopter that crashed near Point Clear, Alabama, the agencies involved are calling off the search (that spanned nearly 1,200 nautical miles) and are now focused on recovery of the aircraft.

The remains of Lt. Cmdr. Dale Taylor, Lt. j.g. Thomas Cameron, and Chief Petty Officer Fernando Jorge have been recovered.  The remaining crew member, Petty Officer 3rd Class Andrew Knight, is still missing.

The Coast Guard has a tribute site up where you can leave a comment/message.

Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and with their teammates.
