Bunker2012
« on: March 31, 2012, 11:28:29 PM »
Greetings, Bunker residents and new Forum members!

I can't believe that I have been remiss in not starting the Bunker for 2012 until almost April!

Welcome to the 2nd annual version of the Forum's virtual bar/cafe/restaurant/pub. This is the place where you can drop in and discuss anything, topic miscellaneous. If you just feel like saying something, if you're happy or infuriated, or have a subject that you would like to discuss but don't want to start a whole new topic, come here and say it!

This place is called "The Bunker" because here we can hide from the world and escape from reality, just for a little while. Please don't be shy, the Bunker is open to all, no dress code necessary. No dress necessary at all....

I can see where those of us who follow politics intensely and are smacked in the face daily 24-7 with upside down reality that should be virtual reality, that one could derail and go off the tracks.

I'm destressing right now listening to some old Miles Davis Jazz tracks!

After church tomorrow on PaLm Sunday and a nap, I will be smacked with reality all over again. This is going to be a long summer!

I'm glad, too, radioman.

What I'm dealing with now?  Our men friends drink too much.  Seriously.  It wasn't always so.  The stress .... Men need to be men and when they feel threatened and feel the need to defend their families, but find no outlet for their energies ....  They eat too much or they drink too much; they're angry and helpless.  Most days, I believe we need a damn war.

Sorry.  I could use some help dealing.  This weekend, two different sets of friends, same problem.

And, then, we have aprons .....

Hey! I resemble that remark.  This last week with the court hearing arguments, and the subsequent uptick in liberals openly declaring their right ot ensalve others had me just pissed, and then I had to get pissed.  Winters are the worst. At least in the summer I can feel like I am making progress on prepping and getting things done. Winter? Winter just feels like I am sitting there wiating for the apolcalypse and there is not a dang thing I cando about it. So I drink.  And Jameson's Whiskey gives me NO. Hangover.  So there is very little to stop mefrom drinking.

Denver not so much.  The Teotwaki House ? -30 F at night in Jan. Yeah, you can't get much done outdoors till the snow melts, which thankfull it finally did recently.  My electrical trenches for the Solar  are a mess because I couldn't get them filled before the snow flew.  Oh well. They were inspected and passed to now they just get buried as is - just hope the exposur to the elements the cables got doesn't cause problems later.
