Seeking a community of like minded people? Apparently we all are

Of course a quick look at those maps shows how deep the doo-doo is going to be when the SHTF.

It's good that this article is an analysis of what is happening and not why.  The writers grasp of
why is extremely shallow and naive. "A a growing intolerance for political differences that has made national consensus impossible...",  no, bejeepers, it's a growing attack on the American way of life
by the Marxist communists.  And "...elections are no longer just contests over politics, but bitter choices between ways of life.", again it's an election between Capitalism and tyrannical Communism; be
glad we're still voting.

I'm going back to the map to see if my house is safe.

Well, I went back to check the maps, they're diminutive and can't be enlarged.
I think I smell an agenda.  Oh, look, here's a legible map:

yeah, he's got an agenda and exposition isn't it.

Indeed. Smacks of the "Jesusland" map from the '04(?) election.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Yeah, the grey are districts controlled by GOP by 30% or more in 2004 , the black are the Dem counties. The Whites are up for grabs..
I wasn't so much interested in the commentary as I was the Data.  The Author is one of the guys proposing the Conservatives have 6 dimensions of Morality the liberals 3, theory.  I think he is just trying to be "scholarly" and succeeding imperfectly at it.

The striking thing I saw was the small black dots, with a bit of White around them, depending on the massive grey areas for food.

Those maps would be interesting if they could be enlarged.

Haha, "Granola"! How true  ;D

Actually, I prefer it this way. When  SHTF There is an interesting assortment of sub-groupings at play in my area. A massive number of granola-eaters who have been taught that "violence doesn't solve anything" - and a sizable number of both blacks and latinos. The blacks and latinos hate each other and constantly look for an advantage over each other.

They'll be preoccupied with each other leaving happy liberal hunting grounds for me and mine.

Oh, I almost forgot....  ::evil::

I think some of my neighbors are in the wrong area!
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.
