Tough Times for Muammar
« on: February 20, 2011, 09:40:21 PM »
Gosh, after all that tough-talk and grand-standing...poor Muammar's people just not that impressed with him anymore...

Shocking!    ::)

Don't really care what happens to this punk, and his nation barely interests me much more than that...

"Gaddafi is a complicated individual who has managed to stay in power for 40 years through a skilful balancing of interests and realpolitik methods," commented the former US ambassador Gene Cretz. Libya's current crisis looks like Gaddafi's biggest challenge yet.

It looks like his first real challenge is really a very simple challenge which he doesn't seem to be handling terribly well . It would appear that the Libyan people all of a sudden recognized Muammar and his worthless sons for what they are ... blustering , tin-horn four-flushers . The fear factor which he wove so well out of whole cloth is now thread-bare and tattered . Just one more good shove and that whole rotten structure will come crashing down .

Yeah, poor-man's Saddam, and his ultimate fate and the fate of his sons will no doubt end in similar fashion.

What's left of that country to salvage...

Whatever, I'll defer to Europe to take the lead in that!

Seems like Muammar just keeps increases the thug-factor!

Once a tin-horn thug always a tin-horn thug!

We'll be seeing footage soon enough with his head on a pike...

Reagan bombed his family, effectively bombing him into submission on the international stage for decades. Seeing him toppled brings more uncertainty about the role of Islam in yet another state in the region. I'd rather see the ugly sonofabitch stay right where he is.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Hope you're used to disappointment IDP, looks like instead of "fight to the death" in Tripoli he's "hauling ass" to Sebha!

Is that not a handsome man right there?  LOL

He looks like a washed up 80s R&B singer. Rick James meets Nick Nolte.

Yeah, he's got a face that looks like 40 miles of bad road...and that's with make-up.

I bet even the camels run from him!

You know, back in the day <tone> was arrested, after tying one on.  It's amazing how much she resembles some of these pics.  :-X

Right about now he's been packing up as much money as he can to make the rest of his life and everyone he cares about as comfy as possible forever. Not to mention we got the rivers of blood speech from his kid. Life is worthless to that kind of animal.

This is interesting.  Saw a flash on this earlier today on Drudge, but no article appeared until later...Libyan jets attacking people...

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20110221/wl_nm/us_libya_protests_jets

I thought it might have been misreported or unsubstantiated...then this report about two Libyan jets defecting to Malta appears...

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/babylonbeyond/2011/02/libya-colonels-defected-to-malta-rather-than-bomb-protesters.html

Perhaps lending credence to the first story.

I guess Muammar and his insane offspring are crazy enough to do anything, so no surprise.

It looks like he may have lost a couple of jets and choppers to defections. They went to malta asking for assylum.

Couple hundred dead on the streets, defectors, oil people bugging out, snipers...Libya is spinning completely out of control...

Somebody's gonna pop his gourd. Especially since they have some Islamic edict authorizing it now.
