Honestly, if I'd driven by I would have gotten the hell out of there.  Not knowing if there were others I'd want to get my kids safe.  I'd call 911 of course and demanding to know why they were so slow and casual in their response if I saw this later.

If drivers saw the cameraman they may have assumed it wasn't real.

Do terrorists wear Blue Bed Sheets?

Oh right, I guess they do - but apparently you get to hold lunch if you do

Somehow these guys look more intimidating than that actor.

Yes but they're not nearly as color-coordinated  :D

True, but they have the legit overseas look, people here seeing them in authentic garb and real weapons may not generate the appropriate response either...

Everyone in their vehicles knew this was fake. There were not the appropriate number of flies buzzing the head, he didn't smell like chit, the sheet was clean, his nails were manicured as there was no brown substance under the nails. Plus, he was not screaming allah akbar.

I don't know why I find this funny...perhaps because it is true and partly because it assumes most 'Merican's are that intelligent!   ::hysterical::

Either way, well done!   ;D

'Cause drugs make life more interesting. Evolution in action...

Quote
A man was electrocuted after scaling an electricity pylon and performing acrobatics in a drug-induced stunt.

The man, named only as Miguel, swung onto one of high-voltage cables causing a massive explosion before plummeting  to the ground in Santiago, Chile.

The moment was caught in a dramatic amateur video filmed by one of the onlookers.

LINK

You probably shouldn't watch this if you have a weak stomach. The video shows the original at normal speed and then does a digital zoom in and then with slow motion. It's pretty horrible...

Just noticed this: It blew his pants off. That's pretty damned intense. And yeah, he was dead before his hands came off the  tower. Probably blew his eyeballs out, too. That kind of electricity is powerful beyond comprehension. It's terrifying what it can do. There's a very good reason that they keep it that high off of the ground.

Just thought of this: Apparently you can fix stupid.

I'm actually surprised it didn't dismember him on the grounded limb. I've seen images of people with arms incinerated up to the elbow from even less voltage than those lines are carrying (120,000 volts according to the video description).

My dad spent 20 years as a firefighter and EMT, and was always telling me and my brother "war stories" from work when we were kids. He said the grizzliest scenes were high voltage electrocutions like this video. It really causes people to explode, it vaporizes body fluids into steam almost instantly.
