I have two stories (I'll be brief)
In the early 70's (do the math) I worked a job as a delivery driver. I had a semi-regular route and I knew every back-road and alley in the county (which was necessary for survival when you live where the moronic leftists control the traffic patterns). On one occasion my rig was down for repair and I was driving a loaner.
I was on a run and approaching an underpass just like the one in the beginning of that video when I suddenly thought, "What's my clearance?!" I immediately slammed on the binders and skidded to a stop.......and just kissed the leading edge of a girder. Fortunately I didn't do any damage beyond scraping the leading edge of the box.
My other tale is 3rd hand and has to do with my pop.
he was driving an eighteen wheeler in suburban DC when he came to a bridge that he knew he couldn't get under. There was no warning and it was a one-way avenue so his options were to jam it or to back his way through heavy traffic for a mile and a quarter.
My pop, ever the mathematician and engineer spent an hour walking off the area and measuring things. Then he deflated the tires on his trailer and squeezed his way under the underpass. On the other side his used a portable 12-volt pump and reinflated the tires. That part of the exercise cost him the pump and four hours.
