I can almost hear that concrete slab groaning in protest.

Okay its not really funny but the propaganda piece is over the top

Listen to the joyous happy music about how you will get your subsidy clawed back and how the new better partisan IRS  will be enforcing the rules, and how excitingly complicated they are.  But happy music, so it must be good.

The Obama administration is still providing them with an extra signup period that started on Sunday and lasts until April 15. But officials have acknowledged there are challenges in getting that key demographic to sign up.

You mean that illegal extension the Administration by law can't offer?  Right.

Quote
"We do know that are some people … that didn't learn about open enrollment and didn't learn about the requirement to have coverage until they paid their taxes," Andy Slavitt, principle deputy administrator at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, said last week.

"For many people, this will be the first time they discover they have the opportunity to get coverage for themselves and their families," he added.

Yes you discover that the Federal government is involved in a conspiracy to extort money out of your for insurance companies by using the IRS as a weapon!
Remember the tax, penalty , protection money goes back the insurance companies as a subsidy for poor people!
Oh Goody!

Quote
A McKinsey study this month found that 41 percent of uninsured Americans are unaware of the tax penalty, which will equal either $95 or 1 percent of income above the filing threshold — about $400 for a person earning $50,000

Or $1000 for a person earning 100K,  going up to $2000 next year and $4000 the year after. Oh, did I forget to mention that?

My sister in law is a CPA. You would be surprised by 1) the amount of people who do not have health insurance 2) They have no clue there is a fine.
I'm not always engulfed in scandals, but when I am, I make sure I blame others.

Ironic that if I didn't have plans to bug out, I'd be doing taxes after "retirement" also.  I'm in the private sector and have to "retire" at 55 to take my profit sharing, which is enough to make me want to "retire" at 55 so as to not jeopardize it, but not enough to fully retire and pay north of $20,000 per year just for Obamacare for two.

Just saw an example yesterday with a guy tweeting his quotes.  $1,250 per month just for the major med policy, with $6,000 in co-pays per person.  That's insane.

I saw a poll recently that put that number in the high 40's.   Hey, Wake up morons.
Even better are the people who signed up  on estimated income and are going to get a claw back this year.

BTW, The Dread Traitor Roberts re-wrote the legislation to make that a tax, not a fine...

From part 5:

Quote
Many (most) cops mean well. I get that. I do. Really. It’s just that you don’t know which one you’ll draw. Your specific exposure to the random pool of police officers is a crap shoot.

Soups law states that the integrity of the cop you encounter is directly proportional to how hinky your circumstances are. Thus, if you happen across a body with a weapon next to it (for the love of God!) don't touch anything!

I've heard that good cops exist. But then I've heard about unicorns and bigfoot too.
