I'm sure past Patriots like Patton and MacArthur rolled in their graves when we stopped short.....

You may want to look up the Bonus Army before you get the warm and fuzzies about Patton and MacArthur.

Indeed.

Yeah, same as Shays Rebellion (and other outbreaks) that hurt Washington's reputation as this hurt MacArthur's & Patton's...but not as much as it hurt Hoover...pretty much ensured his defeat to FDR.  Not interceding though probably wouldn't have helped his prospects though.  Stupid to use active duty military against your own people, that's called crossing the Rubicon.

But to my point, I was referring to combat operations against an enemy...not ill-advised poor precedent-setting antics at home.

It's also called setting a precedent. ::facepalm::

Just another typical lying POS Prog...

Older men at the range...

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."
