Paul Ryan says he sees controlling the debt as a moral obligation. "I would say that what is draconian is doing nothing and lying to the American people about these fiscal problems that we have," he said.

Yeah, well...the present leadership seems content with throwing him, the Tea Party members and anyone else bucking the system, under the fricken bus...

So yeah, John the Baptist is an apt comparison!  Like that prophet of old, Ryan seems to be the lone voice in the wilderness...
