Lord of the Rings Symphony, live (video)

Aficionados of classical music these days often say that the best symphony music being written is feature film soundtracks. For at least this lover of the LotR films that springs from life-long love of the books, I think this is a good example.

Maybe I'm just a geek, but it seems to me this would be an apt soundtrack for the times in which we find ourselves.

The Lord of the Rings Symphony Full length
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

My husband took the kids to LOTR symphony about 8 years ago.  They loved it.

They love collecting movie soundtracks---I find listening to them can make the most mundane task seem more important! lol
