LV, c'mon. Really. In that you or yours didn't pay for any of that, it was "free". But somebody paid.
If the somebodies that paid were without coercion, it's all good. If trickery or shady language was involved to get others to "contribute", nah, it ain't "all good".
No coercion. All good.
All the blog stuff only required a comment to be entered into the raffle. The prizes were contributed by the blog owners. It's quite common technique to try to get more readers by advertising a raffle to drive more traffic to a blog or website. Some of the prizes my daughter or I won were from established, well-known people (some of whom even mailed it to us themselves).
The library prizes I believe are contributed by the "Friends of the Library" organization--they hold used books sales every year and use the money for library programs. The raffles are always a part of some library activity--reading club or some such thing.
No trickery or shady behavior.
All fun. My daughter and I have this thing going were we say to each other , hey, it's been a couple of months time for one of us to win something. lol
This comes from someone who doesn't buy lottery tickets or go to a casino or even
buy raffle tickets (the library is free raffle). Heck when I get approached by a reputable organization to buy a raffle ticket I just give the money and skip the ticket. Nor do I participate in any organization that requires you to buy a ticket or contribute a prize.
Then there's other free stuff I get by signing up for emails--I use a throw away account--I've gotten free magazines subscriptions, candy, tea, shampoo, etc. I get free credits for Amazon every so often to use on their instant video or music.
Free happens.
