I had a golden retriever who was in the habit of climbing up onto a glass-top table to sleep at night. How he managed to get up there, let alone without breaking the glass, I still don't know.
One day he rummaged the neighbor's compost pit and managed to swallow a corn cob whole. It became lodged in his intestines and had to be surgically removed. I later found out one of his littermates had a similar encounter with a plastic garbage bag, also requiring surgical removal.
We used to get him bones at a butcher shop, these were uncooked beef bones about the size of a human femur. He could crush those bones right in his jaws like nothing. That gave me new appreciation for just how much biting force a canine has.
