Gifford's AZ Seat
« on: June 13, 2012, 07:40:40 AM »
Gifford aide Barber wins special election, not a surprise given the district, nor is it a surprise the Mediscare crap was unleashed.  Hilarious, Obama has done more harm to seniors and still scare tactics leveled at the other guy won.  This is one diseased district.

No doubt the Democrat-Media Complex will hail this as a major triumph and a sign that Obama will sail to victory this fall!   ::hysterical::
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.

Since this was a special election for a house seat, I presume that the seat will be up for grabs again in November?

ETA:

Quote
"Barber will complete the remainder of Giffords' term. Both candidates are promising to run for a full term in the fall, setting up a possible November rematch in a redrawn district that is friendlier to Democrats."
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

I seem to remember reading somewhere that redistricting made the seat more Democratic and less Republican so whether now or in November this is not likely to flip.
In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.
