What a load of prairie muffins!  How about "Hi, how ya doin'?" or "Hi, nice to see y'all here!"?  Is simple politeness too much to ask for?

Never liked that game much anyway, their favored outcome is a 0-0 tie.  No feelings bruised, no egos crushed, everybody the bloody same.  The perfect game for one-worlder socialist utopians!

I wouldn't go as far as to say that soccer is gay. It isn't. But it is very European which is to say that it is rather snobby of all things western in general and American in particular.

It is a sport that the world (sans America) is in love with and not the least of the reasons why is because America sucks at it. For a short while the world was pretty big on (Olympic) basketball because it was something that we could be beaten at. Then Jordan and a few other guys pretty much eradicated that notion. We are even pretty damned good at hockey. So that leaves soccer. Which we suck at. And the rest of the world knows and loves that.

Personally, although I don't care for the game (it's boring), I would like to see (in a very disinterested way) the USA rise up and crush the rest of the world in soccer. There isn't any reason why we can't. But if we never do I don't care, either.

When I think of gay sports I don't think of soccer, though. I think of men's figure skating. That has to be the quintessential gay sport. Gay men do it. Gay men watch it. It's Chippendales on ice.

I still say soccer is faggy.  I know it's not literally true for most of the players or even fans, but the whole self-consciously "not American!" aspect is downright quar.

Sometimes they attempt to boast about how, unlike in American football, the players don't hide behind pads and helmets.  To which I ask, how many soccer teams field guy who dress out over 230 who can also run a sub-5 40? Yeah. That's why there's helmets, eurofags.
