This megalomaniac lives on planet Barack Hussein Obama. The ego is astounding.

Obama tells big Democratic donors to hang onto ‘lightning in a bottle’ from his first campaign

Working to invigorate one of his most important constituencies, President Barack Obama urged major Democratic donors Wednesday to hang on to the enthusiasm they felt during his first run for the White House as his 2012 re-election campaign approaches.

“The first time around it’s like lightning in a bottle. There’s something special about it, because you’re defying the odds. And as time passes, you start taking it for granted that a guy named Barack Hussein Obama is president of the United States,” Obama said. “But we should never take it for granted.”

“I hope that all of you still feel that sense of excitement and that sense of possibility, because we still have so much more to do.”

<snip>

...Even as Obama said more remained to be done, he asserted that he’d delivered on his campaign pledge from 2008. “The promise that we made to the American people has been kept, that we have delivered on change that we can believe in.”

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

- Thomas Jefferson

Hmpf.  So much more to do?  I'll say, and Japan agrees; he better get working on the planet beginning to heal and the rise of the seas to slow.

As far as taking his presence in the WH for granted, negatory.  It sickens me the same as Day One.

The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living
are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.

Remember when he casually dismissed fears of Congressional Democrats about them losing the midterm election like they did in '94?

In the Aramaic language, I believe, barack means "lightning".
So, he's calling himself Lightning?

Hey; That's racist!

Still need an opposing candidate. You can't beat something with nothing regardless of how crappy that something is.

And I would like to think that anyone we put up will be able to beat him handily and maybe they would but let's face it, it will take a really, really good leader to fix this mess.
In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

In Comanche "Barack" means coyote "droppings"

“The promise that we made to the American people has been kept, that we have delivered on change that we can believe in.”

I understood the "Promise" when he made it in 2008 . It was the "Promise" of the most royal screwing this country has ever experienced . In that respect , the "Promise"  HAS  been kept .

By his many extra-constitutional acts, he shouldn't even be allowed to run again!

But if there is to be an election, there is enough reason not to vote for him!

But like Trap said, we need more than regret and dissatisfaction to win the White House, we also need something to vote for!  And a candidate and running mate at the top and senate candidates of the right caliber that will help achieve it!

Now they're concerned about the Constitution?

They are rep's, all will be up for re-election.  And they'll always place their power and what enables them to keep it above the constitution.  But the point about abandoning Obama is something I think we could see more of this time around.  It will be an interesting dynamic, seeing if democrats sink or swim together.
