I've lived at this exact location for over 20 yrs. It's all mine paid for clear (except annual rent [property taxes]) and has been paid in full with my sweat equity. I feel I was meant to be here since basically I wasn't born and raised in this location, but did end up here after traveling almost the entire nation. There is no where else I would want to live, no country as great, and no people as spirited as right here. I'll fight to keep my family safe and to keep all that I have earned.

Alan....I'm not going anywhere but I'm now more focused on the safety of my family than the state the nation. I'm still in the nation but it left me for the power of man.

Slowly, I believe I'm gonna drain my savings accounts for the safety of the large safe in my garage. At some point, since we will be whipped into obedience thru the IRS tax  schemes, since I'm gonna be given the choice to pay a tax or comply, I may need to close out my checking accounts at some point. I'm concerned about my business account, I really need to keep it to conduct my business but there amy be a time selling is more advanatgous.

Lets get Wednesday here and gone...i don't feel in the celebratory mood.

I think it's friggin' pathetic an honest, hard working business man can't conduct business because of the government.

Sadly, I see nowhere better to go. Everywhere else is either ruled by a dictator, is a theocracy or is more socialist than the US has become. This is still the best place on the planet to be - though by a narrow margin (and growing ever more narrow each day!).

So I have to make my stand here - and take back what's been stolen from me.

Liberty, once stolen is exceedingly difficult to get back. But that is the hand of cards I'm holding and is the hand I have to play.

It's too bad the Middle East and South Asia are so infested with Islam, because there is something about the lawlessness in those places that partly appeals to me. Sort of like the Wild West. It's certainly a far from ideal thing, but I would happily take the Wild West over the suffocating nanny state we have now. There's a reason the Wild West is such a major part of the American zeitgeist (first time I have ever used that word; I feel pretentious), it's because it was the final chapter of our taming the wilderness. Before that there was a Wild Midwest, and before that a Wild East. We were colonized by people who sought freedom for its own sake, danger be damned. It's in our blood and they haven't gotten rid of all of it yet.

Go ahead and be pretentious, doesn't detract from being right one bit.  Without anything left to tame it appears some people decided other people needed taming.  Perhaps that is when individualism began to decline, much to our present detriment.
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.
