Son of a family friend graduate from Annapolis last year and has been training on the Venom.  SpecOps support & MedEvac, pretty much operates in the middle of Indian Country.

Just heard from his Father, he will be joining the 13th MEU as part of MAG-39/3rd MAW with the HMLA-369 "Gunfighters".  Do some more training and is expected to be deployed with the MEU at sea (Spring/Summer 2013) or to Afghanistan (Fall 2013) depending upon mission needs and who occupys the White House.  13th was last deployed on Boxer, but whichever Pacific LHD is due to rotate to sea could get them, and other elements usually get sprinkled on LPDs & LSDs.  He'll be flying the UH-1Y.

I'll be praying for the young man and his mates.
