Knut is dead
« on: March 20, 2011, 01:49:05 PM »
It got nauseating seeing the tards on morning TV and everywhere else in tardland fawning excessively over this critter.  I like nature and cute as much as anybody, but their fawning made me gag!

Now he's dead.  No reason known at this time.  But, uhh, since his mother abandoned him and he had to be raised by a human...perhaps she knew something was wrong with the little bugger when she cut him loose?

Just sayin', maybe momma was smarter than everybody else!

PS-Did I commit a no-no by posting a dead animal here?!   ::whatgives::

Meanwhile 6k plus dead and 12k plus missing in Japan.

Sorry, I don't feel a thing for a polar bear. I don't believe they are endangered and even if they were, I trade them all for people and not blink.

And wouldn't ya know it, in this modern day of citizen videojournalism, the actual moment of Knut's death was captured on video. Seriously.

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

How odd it is caught on camera.  Looks like he was having stroke or something.  Something wasn't right, it got worse, and down he went.  Weird.  I'm sure there are a lot of kids wondering what the heck happened.

When I heard about this my first thought was the same as Libertas', that the mother bear might have sensed something wrong with him when she chose to abandon him. Dogs can be trained to detect epileptic seizures and even cancerous tumors just from smell, so I wonder if momma bear had detected something like that.

Knut the polar bear died after suffering epileptic fit, according to medics

He had a seizure and drowned when he fell in the water.  Poor thing.  RIP.
We are so far past and beyond the “long train of abuses and usurpations” that the Colonists and Founders experienced and which necessitated the Revolutionary War that they aren’t even visible in the rear-view mirror.
