What they underestimate about civil war is that everything is divided, including the military they intend to use against the people. In 1861 look how much of the US Army's officer corps suddenly became "the other side".

I have such a hard time with infowars.com.

Is my skepticism misplaced? I distrust government to the Nth degree, as all my friends here know. But I want all of my mistrust and reaction to it to be based on fact with as much veracity as possible. When one source, (such as infowars or WND) continually harps on alarming events of which no one else seems to give credence, and their headlines so often do not match the supporting evidence or even the body of their articles, I have a hard time taking anything they say seriously, even as I acknowledge that if what they say is true, there is much to be alarmed about.

I tried to access the PDF on Thursday from my work PC and it set off all sorts of alarms about illegitimate certificates so I wasn't able to download it until this morning.

Actually, I would be surprised if the military didn't have a contingency plan(s) for such events. I will admit that it is somewhat unnerving to recognize that, even as a completely law-abiding citizen, "my" government would see me as a potential enemy combatant in need of suppression. But they do and we need to deal with it as it is, not as we would like.

IDP just a few years ago most of America thought the Tea Party were astroturf.
I honestly believe, by all available evidence, and relying on training. That America is in the last two stages of a socialist coup. I also believe that Americas eyes are now open and that coup will not succeed, if we stay the course, and remain vigilant forever more.
With that said infowras is one of hundreds of sources and conversation with others that has helped form my opinion. My grandson the MP talks to his Old Pe'Pe I wasn't going to mention that but sourcing some of my opinion seems necessary.
Even Esquire magazine upped everyone else once in a while. infowars may be some useful info to help form an opinion.

The one question that lingers in my mind is "just how many will obey?"  I know we like to think the military, as it is more patriotic and conservative than the population as a whole, would have significant internal resistance to efforts at using it to impose tyranny on their own people. The keyword is "like". We like to think that. I just know that every single institution created to protect liberty has seemingly been corrupted.

Agreed.  Even under the assumption that InfoWars is full of it, the facts remain, we are being systematically destroyed from within and nobody can say with any certainty where ones allegience will fall once the flare goes up....freedom, liberty, Founding principles and the people, or the almighty state.  Those are the only two choices and one of them is a massive mistake, so people better choose wisely or prepare to reap damnation now and later.

No obfuscation . When I clicked on the link it went to Alex Jones's web site with the article in question . Surprisingly the manual mentioned dates to 2005 . Believing Alex Jones to be full of shyt is purely my opinion .
