It's selfishness and self-centeredness. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I pity the child.

I also despise the society that allows this to happen to an innocent child.
In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

Bad enough this "couple" has a child......but to make matters worse ( or is it possible?) the child is born through a surrogate and they want to take this route again. So both children will be told they don't have a mother ( which is false), won't really know which is the father and one day, these two sickos will attempt to be "good parents" and explain it to the poor children.

Can you imagine that conversation?

No, I can't.  Mother unknown, father unknown, but "we love you, son!".

What is this boy going to tell his children about their "grandparents"?

There are enough children in the world who do not have a mother or a father due to misfortune, and it is a pitiable thing. But to deliberately conceive a child (through artificial means no less) into that condition is beyond sickening.

Aren't the feminists always complaining that traditional marriage and family arrangements relegate women to being little more than broodmares? Uh, yeah. You tell me which arrangement is truly using women as breeding vessels.

Walk into any urban coffee shop and announce that and see how many FemiNazi's go apesh*t!  Hey, that might be fun...   ::thinking::   ::evil::
