Governor Perry hardest hit. Well, after Dewhurst, that is.

RINOs and establishment types are weeping.
In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

With 55% reporting it is a ten point difference. If that holds up it is an absolutely crushing defeat for Dewhurst who spent $25 million on the race including a reported $16 million out of his own pocket. This article claims that Dewhurst "loaned" his campaign $24.5 million.

I forget what the spending difference was but it was something like 10 or more to 1 against Cruz. Tea Party Power.

Oh, sing it brother, Happy Days.

They say Perry backed him because Perry wanted him out of Texas,
Perry was hedging at best.  He could have backed Cruz and then
took it to the bank to get rid of David Dewhurst (D).  I'm so glad
he screwed up early in the presidential debates.  A buddy said,
"you know Perry, come election time he always puts on the camo
and a gun".  Regretfully he was correct.   Perry the pissant.

I'm so glad
I'm so glad
I'm glad, I'm glad, I'm glad.

At this point (well over 60% reporting) the Republicans have had over 850,000 votes cast.

The Democrats? Not so much: 184,000 votes cast.

Voter enthusiasm: It's what's for dinner.

Good.  For now.  I expect cheating, so, no snoopydance yet.

If it's not close they can't cheat. And this one will not be close. Cruz is going to win. You can take it to the bank.

I appreciate your confidence, but I will wait, nevertheless.

I'm from Texas and you can trust me on this one.

If they can elect and re-elect uber-RINO Kay Bailey Hutchison then Cruz could be senator for life.

This is the antithesis of political tone deafness.

Hedgehogg Rick Perry said,  "...Cruz [is]"a force to be reckoned with: an excellent candidate and a great conservative communicator."
...
Cruz was endorsed by ex-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, radio talk show host Glen Beck, U.S. Sens. Jim DeMint of South Carolina and Kentucky's Rand Paul, as well as former GOP presidential hopeful and Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum.

Awesome!  We put more like this on tickets and maybe the likes of McConnell and Boehner will be relegated to the far end of the bench!

Good win for the good guys. Can't remember the dems name who will run against Cruz (does it matter?), but I'm expecting a large dose of Tea Party hatred coming from him.

LOL....watching some olympics yesterday, MSNBC, their coverage ended and up pops al sharpton. I was confused because I rarely watch BSNBC and thought Fox had lost their minds. Took me a second to realize what happened. They were showing love.

Erick Erickson

Should Ted Cruz win the general election, and the odds are in his favor, he will join Mike Lee, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Pat Toomey, and Ron Johnson as yet another Senator who owed his nomination more to Jim DeMint than the Republican leaders in Congress.

If Rubio would just stay the hell away from Jeb Bush.

Well, DeMint made it known his focus this election was to get more conservative candidates elected and he put his "money" where his mouth is, so now it's up to us in the general.

We're going to have to think about him as an Oval Office candidate at some point -- just not right now.

I'd like to think about him as "The Lion of the Senate".
