At least this is (for him) a principled position

Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul told the Associated Press that Romney's position hasn't changed from what he stated in 1994.

Because he might not as  actively seek the destruction of American Principles and institutions.  He will not, of course, stand in the way of anyone who is. That might be confrontational.

Obama 2012! Lets get the collapse over with and give liberals the hope and change that is coming to them.

If Romney wins the media will give little credit to conservatives for turning out but is he loses the consertvatives especially the Tea Party will be blamed.    In many ways this is about winning the game and showing strength for future elections as it is to press issues.

Whatever it takes to deliver a soul crushing defeat to the pathetic metrosexual commie...I'm for that.

I think Romney will make the Bushes look like members of the Birch society.
At least McCain gave some lip service to conservatives.

I don't see Romney being anything but a liberal progressive.
At least he's a citizen and doesn't hate America.

I can do anything short of voting for Obama...even if I wanted to help usher in the collapse, I cannot see how I could do that.  I mean if I have to be semi-pickled to pull the lever for Mitt...I'd have to be embalmed to pull anything for the SCoaMF!!!

This "Andrea Saul" is the spokeswoman who is under fire for saying that the woman in the Obama PAC ad who died of cancer would've been saved by RomneyCare.

It appears that perhaps she is a saboteur.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Oh, and would a more conservative (boldly conservative) candidate be struggling this much against the most polarizing, incompetent and economically disasterous President in history?

After Dole and McCain, I didn't think I could see a more lackluster campaign.
Mitt may be trying to out Dole Dole.

He sure doesn't give a crap about the base.
In reality, he doesn't have to.

I can't watch the destruction of the nation under obama. Mitt may not be a hell of a lot better, but he allows us to bide our time, possiblly elect more republican governors ( who are doing a nice job, btw) and give the Tea Party more time to strengthen and mobilize.

Plus, if theres gonna be a war with shooting and stuff, I don't want it to be in an attempt to take the country back from obama gone wild, because there will, literally, be nothing left. We would be fighting for the opportunity to go galt, imo. I'd much rather the shooting and fighting be on my terms, bringing back some sort of constitutional rule.

It's become apparent Mitt will do little to nothing to help us save the culture; his interests and goals are economic.

What we are seeing here, folks, are the consequences of losing the Culture War.  All those Republicans of years and decades past who scoffed at this, pooh-poohed that, told us this hill and that hill aren't the one to die on, all of that weakness cost us the Culture War by default. We now have at least two generations gestated in liberalism for their entire existence.

Forget RINOs, what we have is a population of AINOs -- Americans In Name Only.

I'd like to save it all.....But I'll take economic stability. This "cultural revolution" occuring will improve somewhat by default if economic conditions are better. At some point, though, we will need leaders who won't think a cross in a jar of piss is art.

And I'm selfish. Give me 5-8 years of economic stability ( aka allowing me to make as much money as I can) and I'll be prepared for whatever culture is thrown my way.

Dang, AINOs, wish I had thought of that one, it is so applicable to the times...I may have to start adopting that phrase too.  Well done G, Democrat-Media Complex, Economic Colonist, AINOs...you're on a roll!

As they said over at AoSHQ, if you can't bring yourself to vote for Mitt Romney, take solace that you will cancel out the votes of these people...
