9. Operation Organizing for Libya
8. Operation Double Standard
7. Operation FINE! I'll Do Something
6. Operation Enduring Narcissism
5. Operation So That's What the Red Button Does
4. Operation France Backed Me Into A Corner
3. Operation Start Without Me
2. Operation Unlike Bush Wars This One Is Justified Because Hey Look A Squirrel
1. Operation Aimless Fury

Has this so called "mission" been defined? No onw seems to know the answer.

One thing is sure, he has kept the media from reporting on his trip to South America, I heard he promised $200 million to El Salvador so they can fight crime...

“Instead of the old donor-recipient model, we’re working as partners,” he said.

“So rather than the United States coming in and saying, here’s the best way to do things, what we want to do is to hear what are the respective challenges that each country is facing,” Obama said.

The money will be used for policing, security and judicial systems, but it will also have a social component. The U.S. president then quoted his Central American counterpart.

“He said we don't want a young man in El Salvador or a young woman in El Salvador to feel that the only two paths to moving up the income ladder is either to travel north or to join a criminal enterprise,” Obama said.

So much for cutting the budget...

It really is infuriating to think that under these circumstances, with millions out of work and a debt and deficit out of control, this man would go to El Salvador or anywhere else and promise to redistribute our earned income.

The thing that has only recently come into focus for me is how we've allowed our government become an entity that throws around hundreds of millions/billions of our dollars on the world stage without reining them in. $50 million here, $10 million there, $200 million there, $1 billion here, $7 million there.... they throw our dollars to other nations because we're "rich". Well we're not rich anymore. We are in debt, with no immediate hope of being able to repay the debt. Our president has no business pledging our earned income to third-world countries for them to use as they see fit.

And how exactly does the president bestow $200 million on another nation anyway? Has congress appropriated that money?
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

- Thomas Jefferson
