There is enough latent good will, if they go into bankruptcy, hire a real
CEO-CFO-GM, clean house of the unions and crap cars, come out and
illustrate to the people they are an actual company intent on building
good vehicles (they could limit it to actual favorites) they could recover
their good name.
Personally, they never had a good name with me. They were the first
company to suck up to Roosevelt during the depression, used that leverage
to promote themselves to number one. The best thing they did was assure
an ample availability of parts. Chrysler was the second to succumb and Ford
fought Roosevelt to the bitter end. (Give in or we will fold you)
