Duuude...

No wait....

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Ah, savor it.   ::danceban::
My doctor told me to start killing people.  Not in those exact words, she said I had to reduce the stress in my life.

Same thing.

   Well here we go. I got up at 4:45 AM to get to Vero Beach to pick my buddy up and heat for Titusville and Knight Armament,we were to be there for 9:00AM sharp and get signed in with security and meet Mr.Reed Knight II

  He wasn't there because he got called to some meeting in DC and this morning while we were on route and Reed Knight III had to cover his fathers day at one of the plants. We never got to see him but he did text my friend because he did cobble some plans for us with one of his people and he would try and catch up to us time permitting.

  Come to find out that since they are Dept of defense contractors they are not open to the public unless we were cleared by Reed knight the II and were invited.(didn't know that)

  What he had in store was a tour of their Private collection of rifles,cannons and Gatling guns,and the countries second largest collection of tanks and other armored vehicles in the country that is privately held.

  All but two of the tanks actually run and drive,but we couldn't play with any without one of the Knights(that sucked)

  But we did get to hold and look at rifles that dated back to the War of Independence all the way to modern rifles and weapons from all over the world that were Representative of every war fought.  That was worth the trip by it'sself.

  But the most interesting thing that we got to see was what was referred to as The Library but there wasn't a book in the whole place,the books were weapons that were used by the engineers as reference material for whatever projects they were working on.So they use the old guns as a way to reuse some of the ideas that were used in the past to see if they had done any better.

  We never got to the range but Knight tested that he wanted a rain check and that we would give it another  try time permitting.

 Disappointed a little but the history lesson I got was worth it.

Sorry about the disappointment, but I'm glad you got to go.
