Mohammad Morsi Advocates Limiting US Freedom of Speech
« on: September 26, 2012, 10:11:33 AM »
Yesterday Mohammad Morsi spoke at Clinton Global Initiative and lectured America on free speech.

Quote
He wants laws to make it illegal to insult the prophet Mohammad.

From the video:

“Demonstrations and clashes recently broke out in a large number of Arab and Islamic countries in response to an incident in response to the defamation. We must acknowledge the importance of freedom of expression. We must also recognize that such freedom comes with responsibilities especially when it has serious implications for international peace.

Our speech in these United States is in no way responsible for the ongoing savagery committed by islam EVERYWHERE!  And the sooner we beat into admitting that the people who are trying to silence US, the better.

WAR.

I think the Obama Administration's effort to paint this uprising as a response to a YouTube film was a direct and orchestrated attack on the 1st Amendment.

What does the Left do, every time it seeks to advance the "ball" of Leftism? It finds a way to broach a previously unthinkable point of view, and place the debate of it into the public discussion.

With a media compliant and eager to take whatever the administration hands it, this is easier than ever before. Want to attack the 2nd Amendment? Find a way to demonstrate that it has "downsides" that potentially isolate America from the world, and possible violent repercussions, and begin a debate over the very worthiness of freedom of speech to exist at all.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Never let a crisis go to waste, right, even if a crisis has to be manufactured.

I am sick and tired of every one of our rights being threatened, attacked from all sides from within.

I'm particularly gratified right now that Pam Geller triumphed in court.

As does Iran’s Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani....

Quote
Iran’s Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani condemned Washington’s defiant reaction to the recent insult to Islam’s Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in a US movie, and said the US constitution which allows such shameless acts against other religions resembles the “laws of barbarism”.

“What kind of a constitution allows the US president to dispatch forces to the Muslim countries and shed the blood of the people only on the basis of unfounded claims of the existence of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs) (in Iraq) but avoids his (the president) condemnation of insult to the holiest and the most spiritual person of the universe,” Ayatollah Amoli Larijani said on Wednesday.

“With such contradictions, the (US) Constitution is the law of barbarism,” he added.

Earlier this month, Amoli Larijani asked Muslim states and nations to show a united reaction to the recent blasphemous US-Israeli movie against Islam’s Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

Addressing senior judiciary officials here in Tehran last Wednesday, Ayatollah Larijani described the recent insult to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) as a “great test for all Muslims, specially for Islamic governments”.

“Through their collective protest, Muslims of the world should show to the ill-wishers and enemies how heavy the costs of such insults (to Islam) will be for them so that no one would dare ever again to do such shameless acts against Muslims,” he said, and meantime, cautioned of the negative outcomes of Muslims’ inaction for Islamic states in future.

Earlier this month the ayatollah called on the international community and Islamic organizations, in particular the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to react and condemn the the anti-Mohammad US movie.

How many times do these people have to declare war on us before the powers that be GET IT!
