The struggle such as it is comes down to this, their value system is 180 degrees out of phase with a normal human being capable of independent thought and not predisposed to throwing morals into the dumpster. If anybody thinks there is "compromise" with these people, please disabuse yourself of such foolishness. They are the enemy, period. The time is well past due we think and act toward these people with only that mindset in place!
Its really an overstatement to call it a "Value System" - They have only one value - getting what they want at the moment. This is best demonstrated via their hypocrisy. They believe in majority rule (tyranny of the majority) until there is a vote on Gay Marriage or Gun Rights are in court. They believe in individual rights up to the point where the individual doesn't want the seam things as them. They believe in the rule of law, until they have a guy in charge. They believe sexual harassment is awful, but refuse to condemn it when it appears in their own ranks. And so on and so forth. They believe in what Sowell called "political truth" - the political truth is whatever will advance their agenda. They have no honor. The have no principles (as we would understand them) and they think empathy is substituting what they think you should feel for what you do feel. No liberal can be your "friend" as we understand the term - the concept is foreign to them - All they understand or care about is what they think they can get from you - monetary support, emotional support, or ego stroking. Mutual obligation, emotional attachment, and genuine generosity - signs of actual friendship, are signs of weakness to them - aspects of "Friendship" to be exploited for their own gain. Cut a liberal off, deny them what they are getting from you, and they will walk away and feel no remorse, no sadness- only anger that you have denied them what they feel they are entitled to.
They are the enemy, period.
