I am functionally social media illiterate.

 ::bus::

Include me in that class. Fishing and political forums are the extent of my socializing.

A cool thing about twitter is that when you see an article you like, you click the tweet button, and you have tweeted the articel to you followers. I like that,.

I'm not sure a) I want followers and b) followers would want me!  I'm pretty sure we'd scare each other!   ::exitstageleft::   ;D

Thanks - now I see a practical application for tweets. My step-daughter signed on to a thing called "pinterest" - apparently it does something similar? All I know is that I see it when she "likes" something.

pinterest is like having your bulletin board available for everyone to see

you "pin" stuff from website you like onto your pinterest board so you don't write anything just put up "pictures" of stuff you like
others can comment on your "pins"

people organize their pins into categories--some are pretty silly--places I like, shoes I love,  ::laughonfloor::

...and we can tweet (with a link) those particularly insightful comments from IAL to drive some interest here...
