Probably Romney isn't offensive to them.
He's a lib-one of theirs

Obama's sequester lie, and his Des Moines Register interview

I don't think this title needs to be in the form of a question. But I've preserved the original title anyway.

If you haven't heard about the Des Moines Register interview, Obama insisted that it be off the record, until the paper (which had endorsed him in '08) objected. Romney offered an on-the-record interview. So O'Chimpy recanted, and let the interview be on the record. Now perhaps we see at least part of why he might have wanted to remain off the record.

Is This Why Obama Wanted that Des Moines Register Interview Off the Record?

Recall that in the third debate, President Obama claimed that he did not come up with the sequesters and that “it will not happen.” It has already been reported that his administration did come up with the sequester. Now, in that Des Moines Register interview that was briefly off the record, he touts the sequester as a means by which he will achieve spending cuts.

Quote
OBAMA: “So when you combine the Bush tax cuts expiring, the sequester in place, the commitment of both myself and my opponent — at least Governor Romney claims that he wants to reduce the deficit — but we’re going to be in a position where I believe in the first six months we are going to solve that big piece of business.” [emphasis added]

He made this statement the day after he said that the sequester “will not happen,” while he was mocking his own defense secretary’s warning that the cuts would dangerously shrink the military. Is this what the president has taken to calling “Romnesia?” Or just plain old dishonesty?
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

...and apparently the Des Moines Register has an opinion...

Rush is talking about this now.

Expects them to stay true to form and still exhibit as much insanity as Powell and endorse Obama...OK, Rush didn't say it quite that way, but...

He's a double-dealing liar.  He says one thing to one group and others to other groups.  He has trouble keeping all the lies straight and some of the formerly in-the-tank media are tired of being played, I think.

Plus, for how stuck-to his Crackberry he was/is and how new-media savvy he and his posse think they are, he keeps forgetting that today, e v e r y t h i n g  is "in the cloud".

Ya know, in this case, it *would* have helped if there was more identifying information in the thread title and the post.

Just sayin'.

No sweat, 'Hawk.  Easier to find stuff if the thread title is clear, that's all.

Oh, and it looks like IDP or trap merged the two threads.
