Schadenfreude: Mr. Sensitive Guy Suffers Major Fail
« on: December 21, 2012, 12:14:03 AM »
Speaker of the House John "Weepy" Boehner suffered a major defeat tonight causing him to withdraw his "Plan B" from a vote. It could not happen to a more deserving ass.

After screwing around for weeks by attempting to make nice with President Downgrade, it has all come down to this. What a perfectly wretched Christmas present Mr. Boehner has given himself, the Republican party, the TEA Party, conservatives and the tax paying American citizens. He will have to go home with the rest of congress and dwell on what could have been.

And just what could have happened? Well, lot's of things could have happened. Boehner could have modeled his speakership on any number of his more powerful and successful predecessors but he did not. I don't think he modeled his speakership on anyone. I think that this is all Boehner. This is him...

A man that would play poker with his cards turned face up. A guy who doesn't seem to understand the first thing about entering into a negotiation. A clod who would have come up the loser in bargaining with the indians over Manhattan Island. An idiot who would have sat down with the defeated Japanese on the deck of the USS Missouri and managed to give them the better terms. Boehner doesn't merely blink...choking is even too mild a description. He crawls, he begs, he scrapes before his political adversaries and then acts so surprised when they kick him to the curb.

On the other hand, he treats his natural allies as if they were a dog turd he inadvertently stepped on and, nose wrinkling, dismissively scrapes them off of the bottom of his shoe. Why on earth can't Boehner muster up this sort of disgust and disdain, this very public lack of respect for Obama and Reid? He sucks up to those enemies of liberty while simultaneously tossing conservatives off of any and all meaningful committee posts.

And then he is so shocked, so surprised when none of them will support his cave legislation. What a dope.

Boehner represents everything that has been painfully and obviously wrong with Republican congressional leadership for decades. Give up one position of strength after another and inexplicably expect to be shown something approaching respect and accommodation from his adversary. Idiocy. Our president is a pansy. He demonstrates it every time he is in public but compared to Boehner he looks positively macho. Boehner is worse than wimpy. I don't know what to call it. I don't know how to describe it. His leadership style is somewhere south of "fag" and "pussy." It lacks both reason and strength. He doesn't bring a knife to a gunfight. He shows up at the gunfight and acts surprised that there's a fight at all. It's like he still thinks that Washington is some kind of club where everyone behaves by certain rules. Except he is the only one who observes the rules while Reid and Obama and the MFM stomp on his ass and laugh at him...to his face.

Boehner seems to think that because he is Speaker he is somehow automatically owed X amount of respect from these pathetic creatures and when it doesn't happen, when the exact opposite happens, he is stunned. Perplexed. Flummoxed. And he just doesn't seem to be able to make the mental connection that these opponents hate him, hate his party, hate the people that he supposedly represents. And because he can't make that connection, or maybe even if he could, he can't seem to scrounge up enough testosterone to form any kind of defense or offense or anything other than a pout.

We need a real man to take this job. Boehner needs to be fired as Speaker. He does not deserve to hold a position of power when he flat out refuses to wield that power.

I sure hope he loses the leadership when the House re-convenes in January.
In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

Maybe it's a grand scheme - one crucial step in Boehner's master plan to subjugate Obama and make him his bitch on a leash. The plan is to spend months making Obama believe that Boehner is begging to be bent over and greased. Boehner's final sting before the coup de grace: engineering his own defeat on a flaccid strategy called "Plan B"....

Then, when Obama invites Boehner to fellate him in the oval office, Boehner will fail to show up, and instead send a sternly worded letter asking Obama to please only raise taxes on those making less than the top 2% of those making more than $1,000,000, and to please cut spending increases from 8% annually to 7.99% annually starting in 2025, with a semi-annual increase in the debt ceiling only if the secretary of health and human services Kathleen Sebelius deems it is necessary, which he will ask Obama to please promise that she will only do if she really, really thinks it's necessary.

Bwaa-haa-haa-haaaaaaaaaa.......

Yeah, right bwahaha.  To believe that, one would have had to be hitting the eggnog pretty hard already ...

You have to hit bottom before climbing back.

Step 1, hit bottom.

Step 2, dump the dead weight

Step 3, pick your next generation of leaders

I'm liking the cut of this guy's jib more and more

Paul Ryan, who are you going to side with?  I see your hand reaching around John Boehner to...?

He travels in good company.

Amash is rising fast among the constitutional/libertarian wing. The Paulites are in love with him.

They still face an uphill battle, if leadership gets turned over in the new congress perhaps I'll cough up a "Yeah!", otherwise it might just be a speedbump on the road to Hell.

Politics offers little to me anymore...

Enjoying Boehner's epic fail though, that at least is entertaining...

I'd like to see the house leadership turned on its head. Boehner, Cantor, McCarthy, all tossed on their asses. Speaker Ryan, Leader Bachmann, Whip Amash.

Gimme.

Boehner is a guy who's traveled to the top by making nice with the "other" guys.  I think he's so conceited that he thinks he's been playing them when in reality they've been playing him.  It's as if he thinks that by playing nice to dems and being tough on his own side he's showing leadership that the dems will respect.  He's not capable of being any other way.

If Boehner goes, won't Cantor be the probable Speaker?
I expect he's just another big government insider at the top of the "leadership"

I like Paul Ryan. But, his 20 plan to balance the budget isn't really bold

Anyone been catching tidbits about a "breakdown?"  Sounds like it was so pathetic, even said Justin Amash was feeling sorry for him.

I think Boehner is done.

Yeah, over (I think) at politico I read how he recited the serenity prayer and then started crying.

This man may have a tender heart, and that is all well and good - for someone who doesn't have the responsibility of leading the only political entity in a position to defend human liberty.

Get him the hell out, now. I will be calling Bachmann's office today, and demanding that she reach out to form a coalition to remove John Boehner as Speaker. Enough is enough.

Good news, I think. There apparently is a plan to oust Speaker Bonher.

I am not hopeful that Boehner will lose. But if he does I don't think there is a prayer that a real conservative could take over.

But I do hope that Boehner loses. He deserves to lose. If I never see another weepy, sensitive speaker it will be too soon.

Laura Ingraham was saying point blank that her sources inside the House are telling her that Paul Ryan is being mentioned as a replacement. How serious that is remains to be seen.

But I think all can see that Boehner has failed. If you read the account over at AoSHQ from the WSJ, there is no question.

Quote
Mr. Obama repeatedly lost patience with the speaker as negotiations faltered. In an Oval Office meeting last week, he told Mr. Boehner that if the sides didn't reach agreement, he would use his inaugural address and his State of the Union speech to tell the country the Republicans were at fault.

At one point, according to notes taken by a participant, Mr. Boehner told the president, "I put $800 billion [in tax revenue] on the table. What do I get for that?"

"You get nothing," the president said. "I get that for free."

After the election, Boehner aides tried to shape the debate by offering early concessions, including that the GOP would agree to raise new tax revenue. A speech Mr. Boehner planned to give was rewritten 18 times and included input from top Republican leaders.

So after being told his initial concession was a gift that Obama had no intent on reciprocating Boehner then prepares....ANOTHER CONCESSION? What world is this guy living in?

Quote
On Dec. 13, Mr. Boehner went to the White House at the president's request, joking he was going to the woodshed.

The president told him he could choose one of two doors. The first represented a big deal. If Mr. Boehner chose it, the president said, the country and financial markets would cheer. Door No. 2 represented a spike in interest rates and a global recession.

Mr. Boehner said he wanted a deal along the lines of what the two men had negotiated in the summer of 2011 in a fight over raising the debt ceiling. "You missed your opportunity on that," the president told him.

That night, the speaker and Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R., Va.) decided to make the biggest concession so far.

The GOP needs to have someone willing to stare Obama down, hold him accountable for constantly preaching "middle ground" while refusing to move, and explain to the American people what is going on.

Ryan could do that. Whether it will do any good in the end, he could do it.

Aside from Boehner's weakness, these accounts of his meeting with Obama really underscore an even bigger problem: America f**ked up mightily in reelecting this puerile, permanent adolescent. You can see how being reelected has ratcheted up his already substantial narcissistic personality by orders of magnitude. Good job by the Free Sh*t Army.

Agreed.  And as far as the rebellion against Boehner goes, let Bachmann introduce the motion for secret ballots, she never left his blacklist and doesn't give a damn already.
