Australian outlets add devices after holiday robberies

(NEWSER) – Like a free DNA spray with that? Following a spate of robberies, McDonald's outlets across Australia are installing DNA-spray devices over their doors to douse fleeing robbers with an indelible mark, the Daily Mailreports. The non-toxic spray will mark alleged thieves with a DNA code that lasts for months and shows up bright blue under the light of police UV flashlights—tying crooks to the scene of the crime. "It's a great deterrent," a McDonald's spokeswoman tells the Sydney Morning Herald.

How can they have robberies in Australia? They turned in their guns. Surely they're not suggesting that criminals a) possess guns anyway, or b) are willing to use other weapons.

All mechanical devices misbehave from time to time. Can you imagine the lawsuit that will come on the heels of an accidental discharge? Of course it won't happen to me because you wouldn't catch me dead in a McSlaughterhouse

I still giggle every time I visit Micky D's and see the offerings labeled with a calorie count. I mean, its freakin Mcdonalds...if I wanted something low in calories, id go somewhere else. When going to my fav fishing destination, choices to eat at 4am are few. Some Micky D...some Waffle House. If you get it scattered and smothered you don't want the calories advertised.

Just one of lifes wonders. Calorie count at Mcdonalds, braille at the ATM.
