"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of "liberalism," they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened. " Norman Martoon Thomas 1944 -6 time pres. candidate (socialist)

Ughh, I disdain the thought of us not taking responibility now; instead passing the inevitable on to the future.  Not only do chances indicate it will fall on me somehow, but if it doesn't we only leave a problem for the future. . .  Not to mention all the "good"  that can be done with increased monies, no matter how imaginary. . .  I'd just as soon we solve it now than become another Greece later. . . or Italy/Spain/etc.

We reached the point of no return some time ago.  I don't want to drop this on your generation either, nor my children. TPTB have decided otherwise.
What cannot go on, won't. I could be wrong, but I think "future" in this case means within the next 10 years.  All indications are they are gearing up to get a good world war going . It gets rid of those useless eaters, and allows them to implement rationing  and a police state.  After that happens, the currency counters don't matter much, because money and prosperity  aren't for slaves.

Our best bet now is to try and bring it down before they are ready. Next month would be nice.  The only way out is through.

Timely topic and one I have thought a little about.
I think it is organization which takes some time.

As a kid, I read a lot of science fiction. My favorite author was Robert Heinlein, who, I realize now, was a sort of Libertarian.
Recently, I had the urge to start reading some of his stuff

Not sure if I missed this one previously or just forgot it (We're talking 40-45 years ago).

"The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" is one that I'm halfway through now.

It's about a revolution on the moon against the Authority.
In it, he lays out a pretty good blueprint on how to organize and protect against infiltrators as well as protect the organization.

He uses a cell structure with only 3 members per cell. The cells are organized together triangular to form a pyramid.
He goes into a lot of detail on how this protects other adjacent cells and including the ones above.

I highly recommend this book for the present situation.

There's a lot more but just wanted to introduce it here for the concepts

Yeah, but you need a sentient computer in the know to manage that 3 person scheme.

An actual Coup will  be small, and contain individuals able to act directly against TPTB. A following of that initial action would grow organically. There are  many are ready to stand and fight. But I don't know if we will hear the clarion call or not. This isn't going to happen without a fight somewhere - even if its a fight in your own driveway.  I am not going to a gulag or "re-education."  and I suspect that problem will be more common that TPTB realize.  They do live in a little bubble echo chamber, and they do assume they are smarter and better than everyone else.

Sounds like you're familiar with the book, Weisshaupt

In the book, the coup started somewhat spontaneouslybefore the organization was ready.
I suspect in real life things happen that way, too.
However, because of the organization, they were able to capitalize on events.

I'm rather insulated and secluded so I don't know if there is anyone in that position.

Lenin and the Bolsheviks were in a similar situation

Heinlein is an excellent story teller, too.
Even if you don't agree it's a good read.

Warning, Heinlein calls one of the conspirators a "rational anarchist".
Once I knew about such things (only recently) I would have considered Heinlein a sensible Libertarian
